Jean Hanson
Jean is president of Convergent Systems. She has two children and employed a
nanny beginning with the time that her oldest child was a few days old. She has personal
experience with hiring and keeping a nanny, accommodating changing child care needs as
children become school age and childcare for traveling parents.
Prior to becoming President of Convergent Systems
and the founding of Nanny Professionals, she was the Director of Vocational Education for
thirteen school districts and a home economics and occupational childcare teacher. Her
related work life has included serving as President of the American Vocational
Association, a 55,000 member national organization; a Presidential appointment to the
National Advisory Council on Vocational Education; and founding and serving as President
of the board of a non-profit day care center and preschool. She and her husband have done
international education work in China, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Honduras, and Jamaica.
She has a B.S. and M.S. degrees in Home Economics
Education from North Dakota State University, a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota,
and is a Certified Family and Consumer Scientist.
Becky Bergmann
A Certified Family and Consumer Scientist and the Lead Placement Consultant with
Nanny Professionals. She has a B.S. degree in General Home Economics from the University
of Minnesota, with post graduate work in vocational and special education. She has
extensive experience in working with the developmentally disabled in the institutional
setting, both as a home economics instructor and special education teacher. She is also a
part-time photographer, specializing in weddings.
Jill Roe
A Certified Family and Consumer Scientist and has worked part-time with CSI for a
number of years. She graduated from North Dakota State University with a B.S. degree in
Home Economics and an M.S. degree from Wayne State College. She has a worked as a county
extension agent, home economics instructor, early childhood education facilitator, and
foundation director. She is married, has two children and is waiting for the
arrival of a new addition to her family.
Other professional staff with degrees in home
economics or child development are also associated with our office as placement
consultants. Clerical staff are available to answer questions to the extent possible and
to take detailed messages when a placement consultant is not available. Our clerical
staff does not select or assign nannies.
As our agency matures we are continuing to offer
additional services to help you, our clients, define and meet your child care needs.
